Whether you suffer depression, anxiety, challenges in your marriage and family or other emotional difficulties, you might benefit from the guidance of a qualified professional who is attuned to your faith and to the spiritual dimension of your life. If your needs are beyond the support of your community, you might benefit from the support and direction of someone who can teach you to develop the skills that lead to progress and healing.
My approach to therapy takes into consideration your beliefs and convictions to help you reach the wholeness and health you are looking for. My experience is that many people want their theology and spirituality to be acknowledged, respected and integrated to the process of growth, healing and change. I take into consideration the wisdom of spiritual principles while applying my knowledge and understanding of human psycho-sociology and understanding of cultural diversity to help you change and heal. I work with individuals, couples, families and groups. I also do pre-marital counseling.
In a tale by David J.Wolpe: A boy and his father were walking along a road when they came across a large stone. The boy said to his father, “Do you think if I use all my strength, I can move this rock?” His father answered, “If you use all your strength, I am sure you can do it.” The boy began to push the rock. Exerting himself as much as he could, he pushed and pushed. The rock did not move. Discouraged, he said to his father, “You were wrong, I can’t do it.” His father placed his arm around the boy’s shoulder and said, “No son. You didn’t use all your strength – you didn’t ask me to help.” A common source of failure is to try to do it without skilled help!
